THE Mac Daddy of Sprits. The 6061 T6 Aluminum Sprit keeps your spinnaker line from going over the bow - and DOESN’T rely on tape! Tape always fails in the middle of a race - the worst time! The Kablooey Aluminum J22 Sprit has evolved numerous times, searching for the best shape, size, weight - its been arduous! (See evolution image) What we realized is that its not how far out the sprit sticks that is the design key (the spinnaker line never leaves being in contact with the headstay) - but its unobtrusiveness. Stick out to far - and it gets broken off (as many have done), or bent. Have sharp edges, or a spike (like a batten?) - and it could (read: WILL) puncture your spinnaker…. if you shrimp the chute (which we have done, and learned the hard way) ergo the top of the Kablooey Sprit is rounded to prevent this (See cool designey stuff!).

Easy to install; just remove the headstay, and slide it on your tang. Weighing in at 1.52 Oz’s (43grams) made to be light and race ready. The bonus is its made of Aluminum, will never rust, tarnish or decay - and designed NOT to be the first part of the boat to hit the bulkhead (being vertical) if you should come in a little hot! Beefy enough to take a punch if you do though!
